21 months and new things with Nate

He has really blossomed this month with his vocabulary. He is understanding things more and getting more vocal.

1. Spitting has almost disappear but we have started (since we been to school) hitting. Nipping that one in the bud PDQ
2. He stared MMO for the first time. The first day was hard for the both of us. But he has been 3 times this month and the teacher stated he is getting better each time.
3. With his barn he can do the different animal sounds and name the animals except for horse. Pig, cow, sheep, chicken
4. Pointing more. He has never been a big pointer but now he will show us things in a book that we are reading to him.
5. Sticks his tongue out when he concentrates
6. When he is watching his Mickey Mouse video there are certain parts that he cracks up at every single time.
7. Mickey obsession has gotten worse. He wants to watch it 24 hours a day. MLK day I had to work and we did our normal routine but not the Disney channel. Mickey was not on at 8:30. How the heck do I explain that one to him? Total meltdown.
8. Wears his AU hat just like his daddy. He wanted to take it with him when I did errands the other day and he wore it out all day. God help him.
9. When Daddy pushes him in his crazy coupe he does vrooom sounds with him, does the wheel and laughs.
10. Introduced baby dolls to him since he is getting a baby brother soon. He will feed it a bottle and try to put a diaper on it.
11. Takes his bib off and says "all done" even after the first bite. Little stinker.
12. He is now learning to eat with a spoon. The issue is he turns it upside down right before it goes into his mouth. Work in progress.
13. He will grab the phone and say "hello. how are you?". Wonder where he learned that from:)
14. When Daddy and Nate do their nightly prayers he will say "Amen"
15. We have taught him "Head, shoulders, Knees and toes" song and he when he wants to sing it he comes over and grabs his face and says "head"
16. He is now trying to put on his own socks and shoes. Hopefully next month he can do it on his own
17. When you don't put Mickey on in the DVD player and something else he will go up to it and turn it off and say "ickey"
18. He has a new dance where he puts his hands above his head and spins around. We think he learned this in his music class in MMO but we have no idea what the song is.
19. He will now give kisses over the phone. He will take the phone and go "MMMMMMM". Cutest thing ever!
20. I wanted to give him a kiss goodbye the other day and I got my first rejection of "no no no no"
21. He will bring you the correct puzzle or little people animals when you ask for them...dog, cow, pig, and meow (which he calls a cat)

Made it to 35 weeks with Tater Tot

Wow this week has been very eventful with Tater Tot. It all began around 12 midnight on Tues morning. I started to have contractions. I drank lots of water and just watched the clock. After an hour they were 10 minutes apart. I tried to wake up Mr Hanna but he was sound asleep and it wasn't sinking in what I was trying to tell him. So I got up to go to the bathroom and that is when I got scared. There was blood. So I immediately called Kristin to pack up and get over here to watch Nate. Then called the Dr and we had to go to ATL Northside since I was still 34 weeks. By the time we got to the hospital the contractions were 2 minutes apart. We thought to ourselves "this is it". I was 1 cm and 90% effaced. They gave me 3 shots of terbutaline which did space them out 10 minutes apart. Then I they kept encouraging pain meds to help relax more and it could get rid of them. By this time is was around 6 am and I was exhausted since I haven't gone to bed yet. So I took the pain meds and man that was the best stuff EVER. They went away and I got to sleep for an hour. Then after all the meds wore off they started coming back again. They did an internal again and I was the same. Which is a good thing because if I was progressing then they would do a C Section. So we tried the shot one more time and a pill version. In about an hour they went away. It is now lunch time and I am starving because they wouldn't let me eat because of the possibility of surgery. The Dr came in and let me go home but on bedrest and pills to control the contractions. Got home and stuffed my face. Then I tried to go to sleep. I kept waking up with more contractions. They didn't go away until 10 that night. Nothing serious but annoying. The meds they have me on makes me shake very bad and very hard to sleep due to heart racing. That night it was so hard to sleep. The next day I had another scare with the blood and called the dr office. I went in for an ultrasound too see if there was anything else wrong. Everything turned out perfect. My cervix is now closed. He is weighing at 5 lbs 4 oz. He was even eating when we saw his face and sticking his tongue out. Awesome. They did an internal ultrasound and the tech said 'oh wow his head is right there". I saw the same midwife that was in the emergency room. She said I was the first person she checked when she came in to see when I delivered. She was so excited to see that the baby was still cooking. They said the blood could be from the cervix contracting yesterday. Today is a good day. I slept the whole night through last night and didn't even wake up to take the contraction meds. I can now take a 1/2 pill which makes me feel a little more human. Tomorrow we go back in for my "regular" check up. I will find out then if I am still on bed rest and if I have to take this contraction medication. I am feeling better but feeling lots of pressure. I can tell he has dropped in the past day and sometimes it feels like he is just going to fall out. I can feel his head turning and it is very low. So now it is just a waiting game. We have made it to 35 weeks and now we can definitely have him at Forsyth Hospital. We are excited about that because we are very close to Nate. Now it is the waiting game.

Nate practicing for new baby brother

So I borrowed a baby doll to help Nate practice for his new baby brother coming. He has given him so many kisses. I showed him today how you feed it a bottle and now he is hooked. He kept feeding it to him and then giving it pretzels. Then he had to try a water bottle. It was so cute. We shall see if he is this helpful with the new baby brother.

Daddy and Nate chillin

Daddy and Nate like to lay on Nate's new couch and chill. I had to get a couple of shots. They look like 2 peas in a pod. Love it!

Tater tot's furniture has arrived

Finally it has arrived. It is really beautiful. I have been waiting so I can start organizing. Only 5 weeks & 6 days to go! Had a check up this week and everything looks good. BP came back down from last time so that is good news. The only thing is my hip. I am having very painful hip problems (from my bad hip) and by the end of the day I can barley walk. My bursitis has flared up and I can't stand on my right leg. I even have to sit down to put on pants. The dr said there isn't anything I can do about it because I can't take the required meds. I could go to Physical Therapy but I know all that would do would irritate it. He said it is from the baby dropping. I will just have to suck it up for another 5 weeks OR less:).

20 months and new things with Nate

Nate is getting to be so much fun. He does the cutest things that just melt my heart. I still can't believe he is going to be 2 in April! So many changes coming his way and our way!

1. Spitting has gotten better. He does it only when he is really mad at someone. But now I am catching him banging his head on things when he gets upset. I have no idea why he does that one.
2. When he gets all excited he stomps his feet and laughs.
3. When someone leaves the room he will say "where are you"
4. When he doesn't want something or we tell him "NO" he will say "no no no no no". He will even do it when we try to feed him food he doesn't want.
5. He now can ride his push car. He always went backwards but now he knows how to ride it forward.
6. He moved into his new room and loves it! He really loves his own bathroom.
7. He climbs on anything he can. He discovered that he can now climb on the coffee table. He is so fast that I can't catch him most of the time
8. His ABC's is sounding so much better. "A" "G" "P". You can catch some letters when he sings with us.
9. I always count going up the stairs and he will say "2" "3" "6" "13". Now we just have to fill in those other numbers:)
10. He will just come up to me to give me a hug
11. He is really into kisses. When he goes to kiss you he says "mmmmmmmMMM". I do this with him and thought it was so funny that he started doing it. So he will just start "mmmm" and he will give me his cheek so I can kiss him. Sometimes he will kiss me on my lips. Too CUTE!
12. He is obsessed with Mickey Mouse. He will now hand me the remote and say "ickey".
13. When he watches Mickey mouse he will sing the theme songs with them and you can understand some of the words.
14. He is also "getting" what they are doing in the show and will laugh. He got Bambi for Christmas and when the thunderstorm comes on and the rain hits Bambi's nose he will crack up laughing.
15. He is more and more into books. He will point things out all the time. I gave him a Mickey Mouse book for Christmas and Toodles is in it. Every time we turn the page and he sees it he will say "oh Toooodles". You can even hear him in the morning reading it to himself and say "oh Toodles".
16. We are trying to give him plates with his meals. It is going well but we noticed if we cover Mickey's face he pushes the food off so he can see it. The food ends up off the plate just so he can see all of Mickey. I have been told that his father use to do this too!
17. When we are in the car and we stop suddenly or we go over a bump he will say "uh oh"
18. When we drive on 400 and pass the cow pasture he will say "cow"
19. Every animal that comes on TV is a Cow. I correct him and he will argue back to me a "Cow".
20. Also whenever he sees an apple he will point it out on the TV or any of his toys or books.

Tater tot at 31 weeks

Tater tot is growing strong. I had 2 appts during Christmas. One with the specialist and the other with the regular Dr. I am excited to say that the specialist has released me due to I have no more placenta previa! What a great Christmas present to us! At that appt (30 weeks) he was 3 lbs. The 2 ultrasound pics above are his profile and his private parts. I just had to make sure one more time that we were having another boy. We got to schedule the C Section date for Feb 23rd at 6:45 am!! We have to be there at 5 am. I am sure I will get no sleep that night--that is if that is when Tater Tot actually comes into this world. He could come earlier like his big brother Nate. But I am leaving it into God's hands. He has already answered all our prayers for everything else. Whenever he wants him to come--I will be waiting with open arms.
The regular Dr appt went OK. When I went in I wasn't feeling very well because I got the sickness that Nate had before Christmas. My blood pressure was high for me 130/70. Normal for me is like 110/64. But she did not see protein in my urine. She did give me an antibiotic and I feel so much better. So I hope during our next appt (Jan 12th) that it is back down to normal again. I am now going every 2 weeks.
Tater tot is really moving around. Feet are kicking up in my ribs all the time. But I am not to the point where I am too uncomfortable. I just have to make sure I rest my back during the day or I pay for it the next day.
During Christmas vacation we moved Nate out of Tater Tot's into his new room. Also the window in Tater Tot's window is leaking and we need to get that fixed ASAP. We are still waiting on the baby furniture. I hope it comes soon so I can start organizing. I will post pics once we get it.

Varsity Trip

When Erin and Jimmy were in town Jimmy never experienced the Varsity before. He saw a show on it and wanted to try it. So we all drove to the original Varsity downtown and had very delicious lunch. Nate and Jace shared some french fries. We also got them to try on the famous Varsity hats.

Hanna Christmas

We celebrated the Hanna Christmas a little later this year due to Erin, Jimmy, Kendall and Jace came into town December 30th. I am little disappointed in my pictures because our battery in our camera died and I didn't have backup. So I only got a few shots of the beginning of our opening gifts. Nate got so many things. His big gift was a blue couch for his size. He loves it. He got lots of Mega block toys, clothes and a dump truck. We all had a very nice Christmas.

There is one picture where Kendall and Nate had there first "fight". They kept tugging back and forth on the toy. I am sure there are many many more to come.
