Yep that is what Nate's new life is like these days. He loves finding new things to get into too. He found Gabbie's water bowl this week. Fun times for mommy to clean up. We also have discovered Daddy's TV equipment. All those new buttons to push is really cool! He also likes following Gabbie everywhere and see what she is doing. Thank goodness Gabbie is so cool about things.
The biggest thing this past week is that we can now pull up on everything. The couch, jumperoo, doors, coffee table, etc. He is getting stronger and stronger.
This week both Grandmother's got to keep him. Gammy came over on Tuesday while I had go into the office and take a training course. Then Friday night Muvie came over while Mommy and Daddy had date night. I haven't seen a movie with Daddy since before Nate was born. Slumdog Millionaire was AWESOME. Must see movie!

Growing up too fast
OK these past couple of weeks he is doing so much that it is hard to keep up with him. I was use too him doing things one at a time but not anymore. Boy life has changed so much!
So this week he is moving all over the place with crawling. Also he is standing himself up. He is walking holding on to things while standing. I put him up in his crib standing up and came back in and he was on the other side. Last night I used his Valentine money from his Great Grandparents and got him the Leap Frog musical table. He is not ready to stand on it without someone next to him because he keeps falling too hard. But I put it near the couch and all of the sudden he moves from the music table to the couch! I didn't believe it at first so I put him back on the table and he did it again. OMG does this mean he will be walking soon?!?! NOOOO!!!! I am not ready. Seriously growing up too fast.
So I noticed (thanks Traci) that his crib wasn't at the lowest it could go. I was so afraid since he was standing up in it that he could fall out. So Daddy had to figure it out after a long day of work. Thanks Daddy!
I have been swearing that he is cutting another tooth and this morning I felt and sure enough the 2nd tooth is coming in! Right next to the other one. The other one still isn't all the way through. So that explains all the lovely diapers this week.
We went to Physical Therapy this week and it was his last session until he walks! I really don't know if I am going to take him to that last one when he is walking because his measurements have been even for 3 months. If I see something then I will take him back. She was very impressed with his crawling. YEAH NATE!
As you know we took him off his acid reflux medicine. Well I talked to Brad that I thought I notice it coming back. I asked him to see if he sees the signs too. It is really hard to tell if the sound is snot or is it the acid going back and forth. Well Brad came to me the other night and said "I think your right the acid is back". I knew I wasn't losing my mind! After he said that he woke up 3 x's that night. So after we gave him the medicine he finally settled back down. He also has been playing when I have been trying to feed him a bottle. I still hear some of that noise and I may have to increase the dosage since he has out grown this dosage. But the acid noise has decreased since we have been giving it to him again. I will have to call the Dr about that one. So unfortunately he is back on it but hopefully it won't be forever.
Stage 3 food is going so much better. He doesn't gag as much with the chunky baby food. The only thing he isn't getting is the smaller items. He will put them in his hand but won't put it in his mouth (example Cheerios). The bigger items like a biscuit or graham cracker goes straight to the mouth. He has started chewing too.
Nate went to his first birthday party for Benjamin this past weekend. Nate had so much fun in his activity center. He was very loud in it and I hope it didn't bother anyone. I did give him a nibble of Ben's cake and he loved it. I can't wait until his first birthday. I am still trying to pick out a theme...snoopy (every time it is on TV he is glued) or macdonald (favorite einstein tape). I want to try to make his cake so I am going to have to pick it soon so I can start researching.
Funny things about Nate...
Anytime he hears the Lottery Numbers, Weather or traffic report his eyes are glued to the TV. So is his career going to be on TV like cousin Lynnsey when he grows up or is he going to win the lottery for us?
Also since he has learned to stand he doesn't understand how to get back down. So he does this whining cry thing to help him get back down. (brad and I are not fond of the new cry) I keep showing him but it isn't clicking yet. I know this will be coming soon! And as I am typing this he just sat down on his own. FUNNY! He knows I am talking about him...

What happens when daddy babysits
So I had to make a separate post of this because it is just hilarious! I went to Jazzercise for ONE hour and I come back to my poor little Nate in Daddy's fort. I think this was the funniest thing I have ever seen in my life. I just can't wait until the day he climbs over those pillows and shows daddy who is boss:)
I have a crawler!
Yes folks it is about time this happened. I have a crawler! He has been doing 2 hands for a while but never could get his legs. Well Feb 5th (Ben's birthday) he decided to do 4 crawls that morning. Then that afternoon we are in the computer room and he is by me and he crawls to his best friend Gabbie. It was too cute and I am so fortunate I am at home to see these "firsts". Yes I did get both camera's out. Now I just have to figure out how to download all of them. I am so scared of what the future brings. I am lucky that my great friend April let me borrow her circle gate. This will help me out so much when I have to work all day.
This past weekend we went to Knoxville. This was our first long car trip. He did fantastic! Such a trooper! He was so tired on the way back he slept most of the way. While we were there Nate got to meet Kwade (Tifni's nephew) and Kendall (Brooke's daughter). We also got his rocking chair from Paul Bean. His name on it looks so good. I can't wait until he figures out how to sit in it. I put him on it the other day and he started rocking in it. I will have to get Brad to take pictures of it while I hold him on it.
We are doing OK with Stage 3 food. I try new things all the time but it is all about the texture. He is a very bad gagger. I did very tiny banana's this morning and he gagged. But you give him a biscuit, gram cracker he will grab it and put it in his mouth. Loves it! But the small things he will not pick up and put in his mouth. We will keep trying!

Nate Jake, Peanut, Nater Potater is 9 months old
Can you believe it? Seriously! It has flown by so fast and I have enjoyed every minute of my little boy. He is getting such a great personality. So also today was his 9 months check up. Thank goodness no shots! Here are his latest stats:
Weight 19 lbs 11.75 ounces (25-50%)
Height 29 1/4 (50-75%)
Hanna Head 48 cm (95%)
Here is his stats from October 29th so you can see how much he has grown:
Weight 16 lbs 6 ounces (25-50%)
Height 27 (75%)
Hanna Head 46 cm (90%)
So the best news is that we get to take him off his acid reflux medication. We will see how he does and any signs of it coming back then we put him back on. But he has pretty much outgrown it because we never increased his dosage and he has gained so much weight.
So also today we visited Nate's Great Grandparents. While we were there he grabbed a shortbread cookie out of my hand. My grandmother said lets watch and see what he does. Um yeah he ate almost the whole cookie! He loved it. So I went to Target tonight to get him stage 3 food and some finger food. He loves biter biscuits! The stage 3 food--not so much. He gagged at every bite. He hates the texture. I am not sure what to do because the dr said this might happen since he has never moved up in bottle nipple size. He said he would out grow it. Wonder what I feed him that he won't gag on? He has been such a great eater I hope things don't change.

So many new things...
Wow this past week has been so many new things.
Well we had a week of fussy, messy diapers, not eating, fever, runny nose...all due to this little tooth on the bottom that wants to pop. Finally we got a breakthrough 1/22/09 but not a whole lot. Still get fussy at times and Motrin is such a painreliever! Hopefully the next tooth won't be as bad.?!?
On Sunday 1/25/09 at Gammy and Papa's house Nate sat up on his own from the lay down position. Every time he does it he claps his hand and smiles. It is too precious! Now he does it in the crib and plays instead of sleeping.
Then on Tues Jan 27th, I was talking on the phone with Brad and Nate just so happened to pull up on his own! I couldn't believe my eyes! I ran and got the camera and took too many shots. Now I have to figure out how to download photos to the blog to show you. Now I am waiting for him to do it again today.
We are not crawling YET. I say yet because we are rocking back and forth and doing just a little things going backwards. We are so close.
We are now repeating things. I say La la la and he will say it back. So cool!
We go on Thursday (9 months) to the dr for his stats! I will let you all know the latest!

It is about time I did this
OK so I thought it was about time I started a blog for Nate because he is growing up so fast and I need to write down everything.
We almost have a crawler. This past week we got up on all four's and started rocking back and forth. I have been wanting this day to happen but then I don't. I am so use to working without him being so mobile. He is rolling to get to everything.
Nate he is now repeating what you say. He will say Lalalalala, mamammama, dadadadada. Let's not forget the high pitch screaming.
