Last Day of School

Big tears from me this day.  It just means another year has gone by way too fast.  The boys had such great teachers this year.   I dropped off Nate that morning and had to leave because my emotions got the best of me.  They had a rewards program at the end of the year for Nate's class and he got most huggable...again.

Here are pics of the boys first day of school verses the last day of school.  I think Wes has changed the most.  Where is my baby???

Mother's day event

Well Mother's Day weekend doesn't mean that you get a break from being a mother.  It is one job that I cherish.  Poor little Wes got a bug bite by his eye on Friday night.  The next morning it started swelling up.  By the end of Saturday afternoon his eye was getting worse.  I took him by CHOA emergency clinic and they gave me all the signs for infection.  They said if it started swelling more to come back.  So we gave him meds that night and I checked on him around midnight and things were fine. By the next morning I go into his room and it is dark and I can see he is pointing to his eye.  I turn on the light and I try not to panic.  It was swollen shut.  I raced him down to the car and we headed to CHOA of Atlanta since the one by our house was not open till later.  They had to take blood from his arm to see if they saw infection because he was on an antibiotic at this time due to another famous ear infection.  They were afraid that it could be covering some signs.  The worst thing about if there was an infection in the eye is it can go straight to the brain.  So after a lot of tears and screaming we got blood out of his arm.  Everything turned out OK.  We continued to give him benedryl and by the end of Sunday it started going down.  But now every time he gets a bug bite I have to really watch it and give benedryl immediately.

But to make me feel more better I took our first belly shot of baby #3.  I feel maternity clothes coming soon!
But what made me feel so much beter is gifts from my boys.  Nate's letter put the biggest smile on my face.  Wes made me a nice flower picture of hydrangea with his fingers.

Day out with Thomas

Day out with Thomas is held in Chattanooga TN.  We got the tickets back in January with the Hartogs.  I am not sure who was more excited about this day...me or the boys.  We packed up early to get there by 10am.  Both boys were so excited.  We even rode in golf carts to and from the parking lot and Santa drove us (he looked like Santa and he said he was one of his helpers).  The boys had a great time playing with the train tables and getting tattoo's on their arm.  Then they found the stamp pad and put stamps on their hand.  They also got to ride their first train ride.  Wes wasn't too sure what to think about it when the train started moving.  He had this curious face and wanted to sit down in the seat to check things out.  Nate kept looking out the window and thought it was cool.
After Thomas we headed downtown Chattanooga for lunch.

We had a great family day together with close friends.

Nate's birthday celebration at home

We decided to have a mini celebration at home for Nate's birthday the day after his party. He was really excited and liked the cup cake that daddy picked out for him.  He loves when people sing him Happy Birthday.  Love this boy!

Nate's 4th Birthday Party

Nate's 4th birthday party was at Adventure Kids n Play.  I booked this place because they had a great deal. We have never been here but heard great things about it.  It has bouncy houses, sand box area and then video game area.  What could they not like about it?  They were so helpful with the party that I would highly recommend for anyone to have it there.  Nate had a great Angry Bird birthday party.
What can I say about Nate.  He has grown so much in the past year and I am so proud of him.  His speech has exploded and now we are just working on pronouncation of certain letters.  He a super sweet boy and loves to comfort others when they are upset.  He cares about everything.  He is great building things from his imagination.  Great at all his letters.  He loves LOVES Angry Birds.  He is so good at the game.  I am so proud to call him my boy.
He had his check up at the Dr and he passed his hearing and sight testing.  He is 37 pounds and 41 inches tall.

First Ultrasound for Baby #3

Our first appt to see the baby's heartbeat.  It is exciting when you finally get to see it the sack and heartbeat the first time.  Everything look perfect.  We got the due date of 12.12.12.  How cool is that?  Though we will never make it to this date since I have to have a c section it is still cool to say.  When is your baby due..12.12.12.  We talked options about the new Harmony test that is out there. That is when they take my blood and get the DNA from the baby and can get more accurate diagnosis of Down Syndrome.  I had to make an appt with Atlanta Perinatal in June for this test.  Also we are going to talk to them about getting progesterone shots.  This shot will help keep the baby in longer and hopefully not start early labor. I have been starting to feel morning sickness and extremely tired.  I hope this doesn't last long. Excited for the future with this baby!

Nate and 1st soccer (little kickers)

We decided to sign up Nate for soccer. We were really excited and we did it through the YMCA since he still was 3 years old when he started. We can only do little kickers. We picked a Saturday so Daddy could take him to the practices. We all get ready to go as a family. Get there and we couldn't find out team. Finally we found the lead director and to our amazement they changed days of practice and never called us. So we had to break it to Nate that we wouldn't play soccer that day and have to go home. Big fail. Then we made our mad calls to the YMCA and got 1/2 off of what we paid. The bad part is that they were Friday afternoons at 5:00. This time and day was not what we wanted because that means Dad couldn't go and here I am dragging Nate and having to chase after Wes and tell him he can't play ball. So I put all my feelings aside because this is what Nate wants to do...we think. So I put Wes in the daycare (which he cried the whole time) and tried to find where this little kickers practice. It is in tiny little fence in back yard with sewer drains and a big hill. Not my idea of a "soccer field". We get there (and remember we already missed the first practice due to they never called us) and they call roll and never call Nate's name. Then we got that all straight. Then he started practice and it was way over my head. I never have played soccer and he was going so fast. I was like hold on I have to sit here and teach my 3 year old because your not explaining any directions and just doing everything so FAST!!! Lets just say I spent the whole practice chasing Nate and trying to explain to him what to do because the coaches didn't assist with anything. It really wasn't for the age of 3 and it was the parents doing all the work. So I made Daddy Brad go to the next one and he was not happy either with the whole situation. Needless to say Nate never wanted to go and we didn't force it because it was the worst set up we have ever seen. We never were having games either so the whole thing was a big mess. Guess we learned as parents for our first sign up for a sport.
