Nate and match box cars

Nate hasn't gotten into any toys since his Mega blocks at Christmas. Now that obsession is over we are onto match box cars. He takes them to all different tables in the house. Then sometimes when I tell him it is time for bed he runs over and tries to put as many as he can in his arms. Then before we go up the stairs he hands them all to me to help carry them up. So I got a photo of him after playing with them 1 hour in his crib. The other day Carson (next door neighbor) found out that he liked them and since he didn't play with his anymore he gave him a whole box full. I wish I had my camera with me to get him trying to put all those into his arms and take inside. He was in heaven that night!

Wes and new pics

Here are some new pics of Wes. Just me playing around with the camera one day getting his expressions. I even got one of him and Brad. Turned out really good.

Nate and last day of school

The picture about sums it up. The past 4 weeks he has done so good dropping off but I hung around the last day a little too long to get the picture with his teachers and he melted. He has learned so much since he has been there. He can now count to 9 and he can repeat color names to us. We are trying to get him to show us the colors. He is now talking to me in sentences more clear. Today he said "Mama I see a dog". Usually it is just "dog". He is picking things up very fast.

It only takes 2 minutes

It only takes about 2 minutes to change an infant diaper. So what can happen during that time? Hmmmm. Remember the shower episode with Nate? Well I can top that one! This scared the crap out of me but since nothing seriously happened I can only form a smile today. As each day passes I might be able to laugh.
So here I am getting Wes up from his nap in his crib in his room. All I have to do is change his diaper...takes 2 minutes. If you ever come into my house usually all bathroom doors are closed. Why is this? Because my son, Nate, LOVES water so much. I have found him in the toilet and in the shower. Back to the story... I finish Wes and I go into my room (where I thought Nate was at). Hmmmm not there. Calling "Nate where are you?!?!?!". Looking and looking. Getting really nervous. Oh and by the way Wes is screaming his head off because he is sooooooo hungry. So where did I find him you ask? Oh in his own bathtub with water filled up & fully clothed. Yep taking a bath. He drew his own water and did the plug too. I just stood there with my mouth on the floor. All I can think is OMG he didn't burn himself did he? He didn't drown--thank the Lord. Nope he was smiling and splashing (so much that the floor was soaked). So I have to put Wes down and get Nate all cleaned up. Wes is still screaming bloody murder. And to top this whole episode off, when I took off all of Nate's clothes he had a poop diaper. Needless to say I am so blessed that nothing seriously happened in those 2 minutes. He didn't turn on hot water, he didn't fall and drown. He was fine.

Wes is 3 months

3 Months has approached so fast. It is also bitter sweet too because that means I am back to work. But back to Wes. He is (to me) sleeping through the night. I can give him a bottle at 9-10 and he will sleep to 4-5 and wake back up at 7. He is smiling and cooing a lot more. He will smile when he sees my face or I talk to him. He is also really moving his arms and legs. He really likes to touch his face a lot and I have caught him on more than one occasion sucking his hand. Will I have a thumb sucker? He is doing really well lifting his head. I never got to experience the head slams with Nate due to the torticollis. Sometimes he slams his head down so hard I am surprised he is not bruised. We still have our fussy periods and melt downs. When he wants a bottle you have no time to spare. You better hurry up and make it or the world is going to end ;). He is now in 0-3 months clothes. When I took him to the Dr last week he weighed 10 lbs 1oz. We are now in double digits!
